Crunch

Crunch is a basic exercise for strengthening the abdominal muscles.

  1. Begin by lying on your back and bending your legs.

  2. Your feet should be flat on the floor and your hands should be placed next to your body or at your ears.

  3. Press your lower back to the floor and draw your navel in.

  4. Lift your upper body off the floor using your abdominal muscles, raising your head and shoulders.

  5. Exhale as you move up, and inhale as you return to the floor.

  6. Lower your upper body slowly and controlled, without lifting your lower back off the floor.
