The Squat Chop is a dynamic full-body exercise that combines a squat with a diagonal chopping motion. It primarily targets the legs, glutes, and core while also engaging the shoulders and back. Tip: This exercise can be performed with different equipment – such as a cable machine, dumbbell, medicine ball, or resistance band – to vary intensity and focus.
Stand with feet shoulder-width apart and hold a weight (medicine ball, dumbbell, or cable handle) with both hands.
Lower into a squat while bringing the weight down toward one side of your hip
As you stand back up, drive the weight diagonally across your body and extend it upward above the opposite shoulder in a chopping motion.
