Romanian Deadlift (Dumbbell)

The Romanian Deadlift with dumbbells is a strength-training exercise that primarily targets the muscles in your hamstrings and lower back, while also engaging your glutes and core. To perform this exercise, you'll need a pair of dumbbells. Stand with your feet hip-width apart and a slight bend in your knees. Hold the dumbbells in front of your thighs with your palms facing you.

  1. Begin by holding a dumbbell in each hand, with your palms facing your body, and stand with your feet hip-width apart.

  2. Keep your back straight, shoulders back, and core engaged throughout the exercise.

  3. Start the movement by hinging at your hips, pushing your buttocks back, and allowing your knees to bend slightly. Keep your chest up and your gaze forward.

  4. Lower the dumbbells along the front of your legs, maintaining a slight bend in your knees, until you feel a stretch in your hamstrings. Keep the dumbbells close to your legs throughout the movement.

  5. Once you feel the stretch, reverse the movement by pushing your hips forward and standing up straight. Squeeze your glutes at the top.
