The Barbell Hang Snatch is an Olympic weightlifting exercise that trains the entire body, improving strength, power, and coordination. It is crucial to pay attention to proper technique to avoid injuries.

  1. Start with a shoulder-width grip on the barbell, holding the bar at hip level with palms facing down.

  2. Slightly bend your knees and push your hips back to get into the starting position.

  3. Use an explosive movement to pull the bar up, simultaneously dropping into a deep squat.

  4. When the bar reaches shoulder height, bend your knees to get under the bar and press it overhead with straight arms.

  5. Stand up straight, holding the bar overhead before bringing it back down to the ground in a controlled manner.
