The Barbell Bent Over Row is a strength exercise primarily targeting the upper back muscles. Maintaining proper posture throughout the exercise and keeping your elbows close to your body is important. This ensures the focus remains on the upper back muscles.

  1. Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart and hold a barbell with an overhand grip, hands about shoulder-width apart.

  2. Slightly bend your knees and lean your torso forward so that your back is parallel to the floor. Ensure your back remains straight and not rounded.

  3. Pull the barbell up to your lower chest with your elbows close to your body. Pause briefly, then lower the barbell in a controlled manner back to the starting position.
