Cable Hip Abduction is an exercise that specifically targets the outer hip muscles (abductors). The execution is carried out on a cable machine and requires an additional cuff that is attached around the ankle joint. It is important to ensure that the standing leg remains stable during the exercise and the body does not tilt forwards or backwards. Additionally, the movement should be controlled and without momentum.
Stand sideways next to the cable machine and attach the cuff to the ankle of the standing leg.
Position yourself so that the cable is taut and the standing leg is slightly bent.
Hold onto the handle of the cable machine with one hand to maintain balance.
Slowly and controlledly move the other leg away from the standing leg (abduction).
Hold the tension for a second and then slowly return to the starting position.
