The 45° Twisting Hyperextension is a strength exercise that strengthens the back and abdominal muscles. It uses body weight as resistance by positioning on a hyperextension bench. It is important to perform the movement slowly and in control to prevent injuries and to make the workout more effective.
Lie face down on the hyperextension bench so that your hips are on the edge of the bench and your legs rest on the floor support.
Position your hands on the sides of your head or crossed over your chest.
Lift your body up until it forms a straight line from your heels to your head.
Begin to slowly rotate your upper body left and right while keeping your back straight.
Exhale as you twist your body, and inhale as you return to the starting position.
