Superman is a bodyweight exercise that strengthens the lower back and gluteal muscles.

  1. Begin lying face down on a mat, arms and legs fully extended.

  2. Lift both arms and legs off the ground so that your body is in contact with the floor only through the belly button. Your head should be facing straight ahead.

  3. Hold this position for a few seconds, while tensing the gluteal and back muscles.

  4. Lower arms and legs again.
