Back Extension

Back Extension, also known as "Hyperextension", is used to strengthen the lower back muscles. It is important to perform the movement slowly and controlled, not using momentum to lift the body up. It should also be avoided to hyperextend the back to prevent injuries.

  1. Lie on the hyperextension bench so that your feet are securely on the ground and your thighs are resting on the pad.

  2. Extend your arms out and keep them parallel to the floor.

  3. Use the back muscles to lift your upper body up until it is in a straight line with your legs.

  4. Hold this position briefly and then return to the starting position.
