One-Arm Snatch (Kettlebell)

The Kettlebell One-Arm Snatch is an explosive full-body movement that targets the posterior chain, glutes, and shoulder. Starting from a swing, the bell is guided overhead in one smooth motion. Focus on a powerful hip drive, a braced core, and a stable lockout position overhead.

  1. Stand with your feet about shoulder-width apart, place the kettlebell slightly in front of you, and grab it with one hand while hinging at the hips with a flat back.

  2. Initiate a powerful hip drive to swing the kettlebell forward and up, keeping it close to your body as your arm travels upward.

  3. Punch your hand up under the kettlebell into a locked-out overhead position. Stabilize briefly, then return the bell under control back to the starting swing.
