The Clap Push-Up is an advanced version of the push-up that involves an explosive movement with a clapping motion of the hands in the air. It is important to have good body control and stability for this exercise, as it places a higher demand on the shoulders and wrists than conventional push-ups. For this reason, Clap Push-Ups should only be performed by experienced athletes.
Start in the push-up position with your hands placed about shoulder-width apart on the ground.
Perform a push-up by lowering your body until your chest almost touches the ground.
Then explosively push off the ground so that your hands leave the ground and your body floats in the air.
Clap your hands in the air before landing back on the ground and returning to the push-up position.
